Access Data

When our Website is accessed, Kabel receives access data, which is stored for security purposes and may permit the identification of:

  • the name of your internet service provider
  • the place that you come from
  • the website from which you are visiting us
  • the search terms you entered into a search engine to arrive at our Website
  • the websites that you visit through us
  • the user tool (web browser, operating system) with which you have accessed any files that you have downloaded from our site (e.g. as PDF or Word documents)
  • the duration and
  • the date and time of the visit

This data is evaluated by Kabel in order to understand and evaluate user behaviour. No personal data is held.

Personal data

Personal data is information that is used explicitly to determine your identity. This includes, but is not limited to, information such as your name, postal address and email address. We will only save personal data in addition to access data when it is provided to us voluntarily, e.g. as part of a registration, survey, competition, contact inquiry, registration for a newsletter or to process an online order. Personal data will only be used to the extent necessary and only for the purpose consented to by you or for a legally permissible purpose. We point out that transmitting data over the internet (e.g. when communicating via email) can have security gaps. It is impossible to completely protect data from unauthorised third-party access.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

Kabel also provides its services together with select partners. They are subject to the same strict data protection regulations and are bound by Kabel’s own data protection policy. Disclosure of personal data takes place exclusively:

  • during order data processing, e.g. for online orders
  • in individual cases, where your explicit permission has been given

Additional information, such as statements made about special interests, will not be provided to third parties by Kabel. Governmental institutions and authorities will only be given personal data in the event of explicit statutory or judicial obligation.

Right to withdraw

Should you make a written request to Kabel or a responsible representative to amend, delete or not to reuse your personal data, we shall, of course, do so immediately. If you are a registered as a user, we also offer you the opportunity to view your own data and to delete or modify it.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are used by many websites in Germany and worldwide. Cookies are created during your visit to our Website and stored on your hard disk by our server. Our cookies do not contain any personal information. The cookies that our server stores can only be read by our server and not by any other third party website. Other active content

JavaScript, ActiveX and other control elements and script languages used in websites containing executing elements can be deactivated at any time for security reasons using your browser. Our Website can still be navigated without the use of JavaScript.
